Ranking Analysis
Many people like to think of rankings as the ultimate goal of a search engine marketing program. Of course rankings
alone only tell part of the story. Key terms will vary greatly in regards to search volume and in their ability to
attract visitors that will actually convert into sales or leads. Further, keyword rankings in some search engines
(especially Google, Yahoo, and MSN) will typically draw significantly more search volume than will the secondary
engines like Ask Jeeves, Alta Vista, and Lycos.
Ranking reports include:
- Ranking positions for targeted key phrases in each of the major search engines.
- Changes of rankings since last report.
- Cumulative totals for First Place, Top 5, Top 10, Top 20, and Top 30 rankings.
- Page URLs that are earning the top rankings.
