Essential Practice Notes from Wednesday

Dolphins RB Jesse Chatman (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. Coach Cameron said the goal is to get him back on the practice field tomorrow.

On Wednesday at practice K Shayne Graham (hip) dressed out, but did not kick in team drills. Coach Lewis said he's fine even though he didn't practice.

Bengals WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (knee) was held back today at practice but the team says he figures to play. Look for Houshmandzadeh to return to practice Thursday or Friday.

Bills prized rookie RB Marshawn Lynch (illness) was unable to go at practice Wednesday. He should be able to get reps in later this week. Coach Jauron said, "He had a minor flu or was sick to his stomach." "We don't think it'll be long term."

The Giants have already ruled RB Brandon Jacobs (knee) and WR David Tyree (wrist) out for Week #2.

On Wednesday, QB Eli Manning (right shoulder) was limited to some light throwing on the sidelines. Giants backup QB Lorenzen could see his first NFL start this weekend.

Giants K Lawrence Tynes (right calf) did not participate in team drills Wednesday.

Browns WR Joe Jurevicius (elbow) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday. The team gave him some time off to rest up from his injury on Sunday.

As fully expected, Dallas WR Terry Glenn (knee) did not practice Wednesday. Look for Patrick Crayton to continue to fill in.

Packers WR Greg Jennings (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.

The Packers RB Vernand Morency (knee) got some reps in Wednesday but he’s still not 100% yet.

KC’s starting WR Eddie Kennison (hamstring) will not play in Week #2. He could be out for 2+ weeks.

TE Greg Olsen (knee) was limited at practice on Wednesday but has a chance of playing this weekend against KC.

Vikings RB Chester Taylor (hip) and FB Tony Richardson (forearm) were limited at practice on Wednesday. Don’t count on much here.

Vikings WR Robert Ferguson (ankle) was able to practice with the team on Wednesday.

Lions Wednesday team practice did not include RB T.J. Duckett (ankle).

RB Kevin Jones (foot) was able to do some work with the team on Wednesday. He could be a game time call this weekend.

Saints TE Mark Campbell (back) was held out of practice again on Wednesday. Look for veteran Eric Johnson to start.

NYJ RB Thomas Jones (calf) was limited at practice on Wednesday but he’s on track to play again this weekend.

QB Chad Pennington (ankle) was limited at practice on Wednesday. Chad said he’s day to day and he’s preparing to play. If he can’t Kellen Clemens will start.

On Wednesday WR Drew Bennett (thigh) returned for a full team practice.

The Falcons rookie WR Laurent Robinson (hamstring) was limited at practice on Wednesday.

As fully expected, Jags K Josh Scobee (right quadricep) was unable to practice today and is not someone to count on for at least several weeks.
