HP LaserJet 4 Printer - this reset returns all Printing, PCL, Job, Config, Parallel, Serial, Aux I/O (if installed), and installed personality menu settings to factory default configuration. The exceptions are page count, MP tray size, envelope feeder size and display Language.
HP LaserJet 4Si Printer - this reset returns all Printing, PCL, Job, Config, Parallel, MIO (if installed), and installed personality menu settings to factory default configuration. The exceptions are page count and display Language.
HP LaserJet 4P Printer - this reset returns all Printing, PCL, Job, Config, Parallel, Serial and installed personality menu settings to factory default configuration. The exceptions are page count and display language.
This reset may need to be done when an MIO card is installed. Use with caution; always do a self-test before the cold reset to maintain a record of the printer's current settings. In a shared environment, this reset should only be performed by the system administrator.
To do a cold reset, hold down the [online] key while switching the printer on until 08 Cold Reset appears in the printer's display. |
