With the rise of the Internet as a dominant tool in marketing products and services, our client base ask us to look into this new concept called Internet Marketing. That was early 1997 and client after client demanded more visibility for their web site on the web.

Working to establish legitimate online marketing service for a global manufacturing company in Dallas, the Catanich Project Management team was frustrated by the lack of expertise that the client's existing ad agency and web design firm had in this area. They considered utilizing a local Dallas internet marketing company, but at the time the SEO community consisted primarily of technically oriented providers that used cloaked pages, redirected landing pages and other tricks to get sites to rank high.

Armed with a decent budget and a commitment to create a successful program, the Catanich team dug in to learn everything that they could about search engine optimization, pay per click and link building.

We leveraged our 12 years of client server and web programming to quickly bench mark the many SEO concepts discussed by the "experts" only to find that many concepts just didn't work. But we did find the ones that did. These we added to our own site and within 6 months, we were one of the leading SEO sites in Texas. Now our clients could get a "live" show and tell for the internet marketing concepts we were recommending and the client's technical teams had a hard copy to work from when it came to implementation.

Next came link building and the Google requirements. Between the blogs, reciprocal linking and joint marketing projects, Catanich obtained contacts around the world that would supply linking. Today there have been over 417 link building clients with no Google penalties.

At the same time, each of our clients had major Pay-Per-Click campaign underway, all of which were not tied into the SEO of the site. The loss of revenue by this mistake was in the 27% range. We elimented this by creating customized landing pages to implement AB testing. Then came the additional keyword research, campaign and ad group creation, and finally hi-impact ads. ROI finally went positive.
