Catanich Internet Marketing was founded in early 1997 by Jim Catanich in response to
the growing need for professional web design services in the North
Texas area. In 2001, entered the Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing
Guidance program to become one of the first firms to be considered a Internet Business Consultant.
Working to establish legitimate online marketing programs for
a global manufacturing company in Dallas, they were frustrated by
the lack of expertise that their ad agency and web design firm had
in this area. They
considered utilizing a local search engine optimization company, but at the time the
SEO community consisted primarily of technically oriented providers
that used cloaked pages, redirected landing pages and other tricks to get sites to rank
high.
Armed with a decent budget and a commitment to create a successful
program, they dug in to learn everything that they could about
search engine marketing and search engine optimization. They experimented with
various PPC programs, on-line advertising methods, eMail campaign, on-line directories, and
conducted extensive benchmarks of search engine
optimization techniques. Because conversion tracking
software was not even available yet, they designed in-house programs
to track leads, click streams paths and measured the ROI of their
work. The result, was a process based on the concepts of sound keyword research,
search engine optimization and positioning, and old fashion business ROI modeling.
Catanich Marketing now operates as a full service search engine
campaign management firm. Our staff of Internet Business Consultants
includes a group of multi-talented programmers, graphic
designers, content editors and search engine optimization
professionals, all cross-trained and skilled in the field of online Internet Marketing.
About Jim Catanich
Jim brings over 20 years of business-to-business, consumer marketing
and project management experience to the Catanich team. During his
career, he specialized in large client server systems, n-tier
Client/Server & Intranet applications and implementing strategic
marketing initiatives in start-up and turnaround businesses. His
success stories include the development of successful distribution
businesses in Mexico and Japan, start-up work for a group of growing
consumer products companies, and rebuilding a troubled printer
remanufacturing line.
He holds a BS in Computer Science from University of California as
well as extensive training and certifications. He has also received
significant web programming training.
Jim speaks regularly on Search Engine Optimization,
his local Chamber Of Commerce and conducts SEO/SEM training workshops.
His work is primarily with B2B and industrial clients, but his SEO
experience ranges from medium sized manufacturing to financial
services to "mom and pop" clients working from home.
