Hubris Humus

  • 30 ounces prepared garbonzo beans, drained
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup toasted sesame seeds
  • juice from 2 limes
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/3 cup rinsed chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 minced jalapeno pepper (wear rubber gloves to handle hot peppers)
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

    Puree the garbonzos with the garlic, sesame, lime juice, salt, parsley and jalapeno adding oil slowly to create a paste. Makes about 3 cups.
