Authentic Buffalo Wings

  • 2 ½ pounds whole wings (tips, wings, and drumettes)
  • FranksTM Red HotTM sauce.
  • 1/3 cup oil for deep-frying
  • Blue Cheese Sauce:
  • 2/3 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/3 cup Blue Cheese Crumbles
    Side Vegetables:
  • 4 Large Stalks Celery
  • 4 Medium Carrots


    1.. Heat oil in a deep fryer or fryer pan to 4000 F (stovetop not recommended because of variable heat)
    2.. Wash and pat dry the chicken, and gently place in hot oil, maintain the wings separately, and cook done around 12 minutes.
    3.. At a low heat melt the butter with the FranksTM Red HotTM sauce.
    4.. Meanwhile stir the sauce together and salt and pepper to taste
    5.. Wash and cut the side vegetables to about 3 inch pieces by eye
    6.. When chicken is done, carefully let drain in some paper towels.
    7.. In a large bowl toss the wings with the melted butter and FranksTM Red HotTM sauce.
    8.. Serve with Blue Cheese Sauce and Side Vegetables
    9. Best served with ice-cold beer and plenty of napkins and toothpicks.
